The Lee Ann
“The architectural concept is a response to the differences in urban conditions north and south of the site. South is civic and institutional in nature. Nearby is the edge of the Seattle Center, Arena, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which front Mercer Street, a major east / west connector for the City. North of the site quickly becomes smaller in scale, quieter and residential in character”.
A blend of URBAN PLANKS colors was used to achieve the look and feel HEWITT designed to allow for both the ebb and flow of depth and light.
Having the URBAN PLANKS material stocked and fabricated locally at AMS allowed for the expedited turnaround and installation of material ensuring a successful project delivered on time.
As the material supplier & fabricator on this project, AMS was able to provide architects with a unique design opportunity using URBAN PLANKS high-density integral color fiber cement rainscreen. URBAN PLANKS provides optimal graffiti protection, zero legacy of maintenance, and is 100% recyclable.
